    The Korean Ministry of Education announced in September, 2015 a curriculum
    that integrates the curriculum for liberal arts majors and science majors. The new
    curriculum for math emphasizes the importance of ‘mathematical process’ which had
    also been emphasized in the 2009 revision of the curriculum. Meanwhile, Common Core
    State Standards for Mathematics(CCSSM) which is a notable achievement in the
    American education system, is comparable given that the eight types of standards for
    ‘mathematical practice’ is based on the ‘course standards for NCTM. As such, this
    study seeks to promote better understanding of the mathematical curriculum by
    reviewing CCSSM regarding the parts on mathematical practice and follow-up studies.
    In doing so, this study seeks to develop learning materials that realize mathematical
    practice and apply it. This will enable identification of a method that will help
    students improve their understanding of the mathematical process. The study will be
    meaningful in that it will present a direction for developing such learning materials.
