러시아 대외정책사: 류리끄에서 미하일 로마노프 이전까지

It is said that the Idea and behaviors of contemporary Russian foreign policy had stemmed from the experiences of tsarist Russia. That's right, of course, but we need to come down to the medieval times before Russian imperial ages if we trace the origins of contemporary Russian foreign policy. The scope of this work reaches from the period of Prince Riurik of Kiev Rys to that of tsar Mikhail Romanov. Making a general outlook to leaders, theirs role, and main events of Russian foreign policy in the middle ages on the bases of literature, the author tried to analyze historical origins embedded in the orientation, underlining tones, major lines, tactical principles, and strategic thinking in contemporary Russian foreign policy and focused on the causes of specific foreign policy development on the bases of empirical evidence. This work consists of comprehensive accounts of the foreign policy of Kiev Great Principality, Novgorod Feudal Republic, Vladimir Great Principality, and Moscow Great Principality(state) etc.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

흔히 현대 러시아 대외정책의 이념 및 정책 수행의 행태는 제정러시아 시기로부터 형성되어 온 것이라고 평가하고 있다. 물론 그러하지만, 그 뿌리와 원류를 더 심원하게 추적하자면 그것은 제정 이전의 중세로까지 내려가야 할 것이다. 이 작업의 기술 범위는 최초의 러시아국가로 공히 인정되고 있는 키에프 루시(Киевская Русь)의 류리끄(Рюрик) 공후시대(862-879)부터 로마노프 왕조의 개창자인 미하일 로마노프(Михаил Романов, 1613-1645) 이전까지의 러시아 대외정책의 역사이다. 이 시기 러시아 대외정책사의 인물, 역할 및 중요한 사건들을 문헌자료를 중심으로 상세히 개관함으로써, 현대 러시아 대외정책의 성향, 기조 및 노선 그리고 전술 원칙들 및 전략적 사고를 배태한 역사적 뿌리를 천착하고, 경험적 사실들에 기초하여 특정한 대외정책 전개의 동인을 분석하는 데 초점을 맞추었다. 이 작업은 중세 러시아의 핵심 국가들이었던 끼예프 대공국, 노브고로드 봉건공화국, 블라디미르 대공국, 모스크바 대공국(국가)의 대외정책을 중심으로 이루어졌다.
