Vibration occurs inevitably during ship's cruising since the exciting forces by propeller and main engine are applied to ship's hull continuously.
For this reason, ship vibration control designs must be accomplished that vibration amplitudes of sub-systems in ship are to be within those allowable vibration limits
Also, after ship's construction, it is common to do vibration tests and compare these test results with the measurement data during the trial test for the evaluation and analysis of anti-vibration designs. Prior anti-vibration scheme is more desirable as the vibration control scheme than post anti-vibration scheme.
In this study, applying ISO vibration guidelines as the allowable limits of ship's vibration, both prior and post vibration control schemes will be suggested. The results of this study will use as the very useful data in preliminary anti-vibration design stage.
