다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

Internet/game addiction, a kind of behavioral addiction, has recentlye merged as a big social issue among Korean adolescents. An appropriate analogy like the culture-bound syndrome might be the ongoing debate on “Internet/game addiction.” Like hikikomori in Japan, Internet/game addiction has been widely studied in South Korea, and the country considers it one of its most serious public health issues. Especially possible associations between game playing, mood change andadolescents’ aggression have also become public concerns. We have still disputed the interaction between game playing and aggressive behavior, and many medical researches on this issue have just started. The aim of this article was to explain the relationship of Internet/game addiction with mood and aggression. Unfortunately these arguments of inter-relationship between game and mood/aggression have not finished yet. First I would describe whether game addiction exists or not in the introduction in terms of developmental perspective, and then try to differentiate the primary game addiction from the secondary game addiction due to comorbid conditions. Finally I would introduce several studies for the correlation viewing and playing the violent video game with physical aggressive behavior. Clinically we should consider the developmental perspective and comorbidity to manage an adolescent patient with Internet/game addiction.
