이주 목적국의 매력지표와 순이주율 간의 필요조건 분석 = Necessary Condition Analysis between the attractive indices for migration destinations and net migration rate

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 개별 국가의 다양한 이주 매력요인과 순이주율 변경 간의 필요조건을 분석한 연구이다. 일반적으로, 글로벌 이주에 미치는 영향 요인은 매우 다양하며 복합적인 특성을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 개별 국가의 인간개발지수, 여권파워지수 그리고 취약국가지수와 같은 글로벌 이주의 매력요인들과 개별 국가의 순이주율 간에 존재하는 필요성 논리를 분석한다.
필요조건분석 결과에 의하면, 국가의 인간개발지수와 여권파워지수는 순이주율에 정(+)의 상관관계를 가진 원인조건임을 확인하였고, 취약국가지수는 순이주율에 부(-)의 상관관계를 가진 원인조건으로 분석되었다. 본 연구는 이러한 세 가지 개별 국가의 이주 매력을 대용하는 지표들과 순이주율 간의 이론적 관계를 정량화하고, 실무적으로 이러한 지표들이 글로벌 시민의 순이주에 반드시 필요한 원인조건을 확인하였다는 점에서 매우 큰 시사점을 제공하고 있다.

This study investigated the necessary condition analysis (NCA) among different attractive attributes for global migration and net migration rate. In general, the factors affecting global migration are very diverse and complex in nature. Therefore, this study analyzes the logic of necessity between global migration attractors such as the Human Development Index (HDI), the Passport Power Index (PPI), and the Fragile States Index (FSI) and the net migration rate of individual countries.
The NCA results confirm that the HDI and the PPI are necessary conditions that are positively related to net migration rates, while the FSI is a necessary condition that is negatively related to net migration rates. This study has significant theoretical and practical contributions in that we quantifies the theoretical relationship between these three individual proxy variables for migration attractiveness and net migration rates, and identifies these proxies as necessary causal conditions for net migration of global citizens.
