한국어린이미디어학회 발전사와 미래

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국어린이미디어학회는 2001년 창립 이후 20년 동안 영유아가 일상 속에서 접하는 책, 그림과 같은 전통미디어에서부터 컴퓨터, 휴대폰 등과 같은 뉴미디어를 교육에서 어떻게 바라보고 활용할 것인지에 관한 학문적 연구와 현장 실천을 위한 노력을 해왔다. 이와 같은 노력으로 한국어린이미디어학회는 영유아교육에서 미디어 교육을 선도하는 학회로 자리매김하게 되었다. 4차 산업혁명과 코로나 이후 시대로 진입하며 디지털 사회로의 전환이 가속화되고 있는 최근 상황에서 한국어린이미디어학회의 책무성은 더욱 중요하게 여겨질 것이다. 이에 본 연구는 지난 20년 동안 한국어린이미디어학회가 추진해 온 사업의 성과와 한계를 점검하고, 이를 토대로 나아가야 할 미래 방향을 제시하였다. 이러한 노력이 한국어린이미디어학회가 30주년, 혹은 50주년을 맞이할 때 회원에게 존경과 신뢰를 받고, 더 나아가 유아교육의 발전에 공헌하는 학회로 나아가는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

For the past 20 years since its foundation in 2001, the Korean Association for Children’s Media & Education has been working on academic research and field practice on how to view and utilize media; from traditional ones such as books and pictures to new ones such as computers and cell phones. With such efforts, the Korean Association for Children’s Media & Education has established itself as a leading society in media education in infant and child education. The current situation in which the transition to a digital society is accelerating due to the 4th Industrial Revolution and the global pandemic phenomenon of COVID-19 is demanding more accountability of the Korean Association for Children’s Media & Education than ever before. Therefore, this study examines the achievements and limitations of the projects that the Korean Association for Children’s Media & Education has been promoting for the past 20 years, and based on this, it suggests the future direction for the Korean Association for Children’s Media & Education. This will serve as an opportunity for the Korean Association for Children’s Media & Education to not only be respected and trusted by its members on the 30th and 50th anniversaries, but also to further develop into the Korean association that contributes to the development of early childhood education.
