초등학교조직에서 학교장의 리더십과 교사의 팔로워십 간 관계에 미치는 LMX의 매개효과 = The Mediation Effect of LMX between Principal`s Leadership and Teacher`s Followership in Elementary School

The purposes of this study is to explore the mediation effect of LMX between principal`s leadership and teacher`s followership in elementary school. For the purposes, the theoretical model was constructed to explore the mediation effect of LMX, and examined the direct and indirect effects of principal`s leadership on the teacher`s followership. Following the results of the study, The fit indices of theoretical model are very good; x2 =65.153(p<.001), TLI= .994, RMSEA= .065, NFI= .996, and CFI= .997. The results of the study are followed; First, there are significant relationships among principal`s transformational leadership, teacher`s followership and LMX. Second, principal`s transformational leadership directly affect teacher`s followership, but principal`s transactional leadership does not affect, and LMX between principal and teacher affect teacher`s followership positively. Third, LMX serves as a positive mediator to the effects of principal`s transformational leadership on teacher`s followership, but LMX serves as a negative mediator to the effects of principal`s transactional leadership on teacher`s followership. Therefore, as leaders of elementary school, principals should exercise transformational leadership to enhance the teacher`s followership through LMX.
