효과적인 thumbnail화상 구현에 대한 연구 = Image Indexing Methods For Thumbnail Image Generation

Several aspects on thumbnail file format are considered in this paper. After finding a file format effective representation of various features, contained in the original image, through comparison between the original and is two copies formatted by JPEG and GIF formats we propose a effective method for thumbnail image generation by using the chosen file format. Via the experiments with subjective assessment, favorable file format depends on the feature in an original imago. So, image indexing was introduced as a method to extract the features contained in the entire image to find favorable file format such as the number of clustered details, color, Highly Saturated Color and Amount of Continuous color/Brightness. In the experiments, it is used that effective sample images with f01-sized images and those thumbnail images.
