The purpose of this study was to examine the social structure of rural communities and to present ideas for improving rural communities.
The content of this study consisted of three parts; the relationships of housing and community, primary factors influencing social changes of rural communities, and ideas for improving rural communities.
The library survey method was used.
Findings from this study were as follows;
1. The changing process of rural communities means the modernization of rural cummunities.
2. The social changes of rural communities had an important effect upon rural inhabitants views of their housing.
3. Ideas for improving rural communities were ① to provide new agricultural techniques, improved product goods, and sufficient budget for agriculture, ② to maintain the price of agricultural products consistantly constant, ③ to increase the quality of soil and to obtain water for agriculture, ④ to provide educational programs to enlighten and inspire inhabitants.
Therefore the best effort needs to be provided to carry out the commuity to give activity programs.
