Fatigue crack growth tests were conducted on 26 CT specimens of 7075 Aluminum alloy under identical loading conditions of constant amplitude loads. Fatigue crack propagation law, da/dN=C(△K)m was applied to each specimen and the statical characteristics of C and m among specimen were studied.
As results, m follows a normal distribution and C follows a log-normal distribution approximately and strong negative linear correlation on the semi-log axes exists between m and log C, so it can be expressed as C=A*Bm . The average of m is 2.729, the standard deviation is 0.27 and the coefficient of variation is 0.099. The average of log C is -14.93. the standard deviation is 0.618, and the coefficient of variation is 0.041. The Fatigue crack propagation life N from certain crack length a1 to a2 follows a log-normal distribution approximately. And the coefficient of variation of N was about 0.15
