미래사회 대중축제 코드로서의 영성(靈性) = 부산 크리스마스트리문화축제의 영성 표상 분석

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to suggest a prospective alternative plan to overcome the limitations of the current cultural festival. The festival in the traditional society ’was performed’ by community members with the function of ritual and social purification as a group ceremony. Modern industrialization and mechanization isolated human labor from a play(a play, in this text, signifies the counter concept to human labor) was viewed as a consuming and amusing from of recreation that was not of a creative and was not nature connected to production. The festival was distributed as a form of recreation to be enjoyed individually with a wave of personalization and urbanization as well. The festival as a form of recreation should find the due of the alternative plan from the nature of the creative play.
This paper investigates spirituality as an alternative factor for the popular festival in future society based on the literatures about the future society code predicted by many futurologists. Firstly, the present condition and limitations of the current popular cultural festival were suggested. secondly, particularly the concepts of spirituality and religion were reviewed by presenting the future society code suggested by futurologists. Lastly, the ‘Busan Christmas Tree Cultural Festival’ was analyzed in terms of the instances for spirituality as the code of the popular festival. By checking the festival’s contents, design. and social cultural results as religious spirituality and its representation presented in this festival, it is noted that spirituality becomes a real value as a future popular festival code.
