부모의 신체 체벌이 아동·청소년 발달에 미치는 영향 및 관련성 분석: 해외 문헌에 대한 체계적 고찰 = A Systematic Review of Abroad Literature Articles on Child, Adolescence Developmental Outcomes of Parental Corporal Punishment

The aim of this study is to review and to perform qualitative synthesis of major child and adolescence developmental outcomes of parent spanking by analyzing published abroad literature articles. For this purpose, this study obtained 25 articles related to the effects and associations of parental corporal punishment on child and adolescence development by randomly sampling of the literatures from major abroad web-based search engines between 2000 and 2014. As result of reviewing the selected literatures, parental corporal punishment has negative effects and associations on child and adolescence development outcomes with social behavioral problem, mental health and cognitive performance. Moderating variables and context between corporal punishment and the negative outcomes of child and adolescence development were ethical background, parental warmth, parental positive communication, parental acceptance and rejection, and gender of parent. Based on these findings, this study proposed needs of parent education of positive discipline practice linked with child welfare service and discussed future policy direction of prohibiting corporal punishment at home.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 국외의 주요 학술 논문을 체계적으로 검토하여 부모의 자녀 신체 체벌이 아동·청소년 발달에 미치는 결과를 이해하는 데 있다. 본 연구를 위해 2000년부터 2014년 12월까지 출판된 해외 학술 논문을 대상으로 선정 및 제외과정을 거쳐 25편의 연구 문헌을 선정하였다. 선정된 해외 학술 논문들을 체계적 분석을 한 결과, 부모에 의한 신체 체벌이 아동·청소년의 사회 행동, 정서적, 인지적 발달에 부정적인 영향 및 관련성을 나타냈다. 부분적으로 중재 변인에 따라 부정적인 영향 및 관련성의 차이를 보였다. 부모에 의한 신체 체벌이 아동·청소년 발달에 미치는 영향 및 관련성을 중재하는 변인과 맥락으로 민족적 특성, 부모 온정, 부모의 긍정적 대화, 부모 수용, 부모 거절, 부모 성별이 분석되었다. 이에 따라 아동·청소년 보호를 위한 아동복지 실천 현장과 연계된 긍정적 훈육교육 필요성과 향후 국내의 부모 신체 체벌 연구의 방향성을 제언 하였다.
