CVM을 이용한 세계유산 남한산성의 보존가치 평가

The purpose of this study was to estimate the preservation value of Namhansanseong Fortress using the dichotomous choice contingent valuation method. Particularly, this study employed a two-stage approach in order to minimize hypothetical bias: the first stage was for a hypothetical setting and the second stage was for a real setting. This study also aimed to identify explanatory variables that could determine the probability of willingness to pay for preservation funds for Namhansanseong Fortress. For this end, onsite (190 samples) and online (70 samples) surveys were conducted to visitors of Namhansanseong Fortress. The results of the study indicate that the preservation value of the fortress was estimated at KRW 6,400 per household in Seoul, Incheon-city, and Gyeonggi-do per year, and its aggregate value amounted to KRW 60.9 billion per year. It was also found that the hypothetical setting overestimated the probability of willingness to pay for the preservation funds as compared to the real setting. Bequest value was the highest (50.5%), followed by option value (25.8%), and existence value (23.7%). Finally, the results of the logit model reveal that number of visits, support, involvement, and satisfaction were important explanatory variables in predicting the probability of willingness to pay for preservation funds.
