The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of image training program on competition anxiety, self-efficacy and sports image of collegiate Taekwondo form player. The participants was composed of a collegiate Taekwondo form player. The measures in this study were Sports Competition Anxiety Test, Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2, Self-Efficacy Inventory, and Spore Image Ability Questionnaire. Image training program for collegiate Taekwondo form player was developed by data based on previous literatures, player interview, psychological test data, and sports psychologists consultation. The image training program consisted of goal setting, relaxation training, internal and external image perception training. Taekwondo skills imagery, competition image training and imagery control training. Each program was applied to participant in about 60 minute with 12 session. The results were as follows. Firstly, image training program decreased cognitive state anxiety intensity and increased self-confidence intensity. Secondly, image training program positively changed the direction of cognitive state anxiety, somatic state anxiety and self-confidence. Thirdly, image training program decreased competitive trait anxiety. Fourthly, image training program increased self-efficacy. Lastly, image training program positively changed intensity and direction of sports imagery of collegiate Taekwondo form player.
