오비디우스의 『변신 이야기』와 그림 형제의 『어린이와 가정을 위한 민담 동화』의 변신 모티브 비교 연구 = Comparative Study of Metamorphosis-Motive in Ovidius' Metamorphosen and Grimm brothers' Kinder- und Hausmärchen

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The goal of this paper is to study comparatively on metamorphosis motif represented in both Metamorphosen by Ovidius and Kinder- und Hausmärchen by Grimm Brothers. By comparing and analyzing these works I try to examine how metamorphosis motifs are embodied in Greek mythology and German fairy tales. The second chapter of this paper deals mainly with the definition of the concept metamorphosis motifs in mythology and fairy tales. In the third chapter I explain the authors Ovidius and Grimm Brothers and their works. In this chapter I concentrate on exploring the meaning of metamorphosis motif. In fourth chapter I attempt to investigate the concept of metamorphosis as a connecting link between two works. Here I categorize metamorphosis motifs represented in Greek mythology and German fairy tales. Through it I show the similarity and the difference between metamorphoses represented in Metamorphosen and Kinder- und Hausmärchen. Two works are evaluated as the imagination source and the treasure house of arts.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 오비디우스의『변신 이야기』와 그림 형제의 『어린이와 가정을 위한 민담 동화』에 나타난 '변신 모티브'를 비교 연구한다. 두 작품의 비교 분석을 통해 ‘변신 모티브’가 두 작품 속에서 어떻게 구현되고 있는지 살펴본다. 2장에서는 ‘변신 모티브’의 개념이 규명하고, 3장에서는 오비디우스와 그림 형제에 대해 살펴본다. 이는 본 연구의 기본 토대이고 나아가 신화와 동화 속의 ‘변신 모티브’의 의미를 이해하기 위한 작업이다. 4장에서는 두 작품의 연결고리인 ‘변신’을 살펴보고 오비디우스의『변신 이야기』와 그림 형제의 『어린이와 가정을 위한 민담 동화』의 ‘변신 모티브’를 유형화한다. 이를 통해『변신 이야기』와『어린이와 가정을 위한 민담 동화』속의 ‘변신 모티브’의 차이점을 밝힌다. 두 작품은 상상력의 화수분이자 예술의 보물창고로 평가받고 있다. 두 작품은 시공을 초월하여 예술가들의 영감을 자극하여 다양한 분야에서 위대한 작품을 탄생시켰다. 그 위대함의 근저에는 ‘변신 모티브’가 있다.
