영아의 정서성 기질과 어머니의 부정 정서 간의 자기회귀교차지연 효과 검증 = A study on the longitudinal relationship between mothers` negative emotions and the emotional temperament of infants using an adapted Autoregressive Cross-lagged Model

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the longitudinal reciprocal relationship between mothers` negative emotions and the emotional temperament of infants. Three waves of panel data (2008-2010) from the Panel Study of Korean Children (Korea Institute of Child Care and Education) were analyzed in this study by an adapted Autoregressive cross-lagged modeling. The major findings are as follows. First, mothers` depression and parenting stress significantly related to negative emotional temperaments of infants in the total 3 wave data. Second, the stability coefficient of mothers` negative emotions and the emotional temperament of infants showed both variables to be significantly stable over time. Third, mothers` negative emotions (t) had a statistically significant effect on the emotional temperament of infants (t+1), whereas the emotional temperament of infants did not predict mothers` negative emotions. These findings suggest that “temperaments, can be evaluated differently depending upon the mother`s emotion and that we must reconsider the interactions between a mother and her children. Because this study supports the goodness of fit of an adapted autoregressive cross-legged modeling, our findings suggest that we need to change our assumptions regarding our understanding infant temperament.
