개인수준의 지역사회 사회적 자본이 투표참여에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 2006년 지방선거？2004년 총선？2002년 대선의 비교를 중심으로 = A Study on the Influence of Local Community Social Capital on Voter Turnout : Comparison of Local Election in 2006 with National Assembly election In 2004 as well as Presidential election in 2002

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims at identifying the influence of community social capital on voter turnout, especially focusing on National Assembly election in 2004 and Presidential election in 2002 as well as 5.31 local election in 2006. For the purpose, it uses 6 social capital related variables including trust in neighbors, ties with neighbors, community organization participation, community attachment, institutional trust, and political efficacy. It carries a questionnaire survey to 52 neighborhood residents in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The final 3,185 data are used for logistic regression analysis. The result shows that in terms of local election, trust in neighbor, community organization participation, community attachment, institutional trust and political efficacy significantly influence the voter turnout. Trust in neighbor, community organization participation, and political efficacy appear to have significant influence on the voter turnout in National Assembly election. In terms of Presidential election, trust in neighbors, community organization participation, community attachment, and institutional trust are significantly influential on voting behavior. The conclusion provides some research implications and future research direction.
