모자보호시설 가구주의 심리사회적 요인이 자립의지에 미치는 영향 -공식/비공식 사회적 지원의 조절효과를 중심으로- = Impacts of psycho-social factors on single other`s will of self-reliance in single mother family shelters -focused on the moderating effect of social supports-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of his study was to investigate the influences of psycho-social factors on single mothers` will of self-reliance in single mother family shelters and find out those factors. This study was conducted by the self-reported survey on single mothers who were staying in 9 single mother family shelters located in Seoul and the Kyunggi area. A total of 136 copies of the questionnaires were collected to be included in the actual analysis. Regression analysis was used in order to find out the effects of psychological factors, the independent variables on single mothers` will of self-reliance with social factors as a moderating variable and demographic factors as control variables. The findings of this study are summarized below: First, the single mothers who had better health, a higher degree of work skill or qualification, and higher self-esteem had higher self-reliance. And it is found that formal social supports reinforced the single mother`s self-reliance and formal social support showed moderating effects in the relations between interpersonal relationship and self-reliance. As a result, self-esteem and formal social support was proved to be important factors which enabled single mothers to overcome their weak points from characteristics generally attributed to householders and contributed to their own health and their family`s healthy developments. Based on the research results above, implications for the social work practice and policy are suggested.
