중소기업 근로자의 일터학습에 대한 인식 연구 = Employees' Perceptions on Workplace Learning in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Small and Medium-sized Enterprises(SMEs) is greatly important in Korea in terms of the economic situation. However, while HRD focuses mainly on large organization, little attention has paid to HRD in SMEs. Then, despite of a growing body of research on workplace learning, little is known about the status of workplace learning in the SMEs in Korea.
Therefore, the purpose of the study was to investigate the extent of workplace learning and employees' perceptions on workplace learning in the SMEs. The current status of workplace learning in the SMEs were examined by conducting surveys to employees in the SMEs across the nation. Based on the results of the study, implications for future research on workplace learning and practice are suggested.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중소기업 근로자를 대상으로 일터학습의 정도와 일터학습에 대한 인식을 분석하는데 목적을 두고 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 전국의 중소기업 근로자를 모집단으로 300개 중소기업을 표본 추출한 후 기업당 근로자 3명씩 표집하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 최종적으로 근로자 561명의 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 중소기업 근로자들은 다양한 형태의 일터학습 활동에 참여하고 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 일터학습 활동을 통해 직무능력향상 효과에 대해서도 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 그리고 중소기업 근로자들은 일터학습에 대한 필요성도 비교적 높게 인식하고 있었으나, ‘업무공백에 따른 조업차질의 우려’ 때문에 형식학습에 참여하지 못하는 것으로 드러났다. 또한 ‘업무 과다로 인한 무형식학습 참여 시간의 부족’은 무형식학습의 가장 큰 애로점으로 밝혀졌다. 아울러 근로자의 개인적 특성에 따라 형식학습 및 무형식학습의 참여 정도가 상이한 것으로 드러났으며, 근로자들은 업무환경을 우호적으로 인식할수록 형식학습 및 무형식학습을 통한 일터학습의 참여가 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 향후 연구 방향 및 실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.
