TV드라마에 나타난 남자배우들의 헤어스타일 디자인 분석에관한 연구 = Study on the hair style design analysis of male actors in TV dramas

As modern men realized that clothes and hair styles are important in expressing their desired appearances upon taking interest in fashion trend at the exposure of numerous mass media, the need for searching for their own unique hair styles is increasing, and in the recent men's hair style designs are becoming diverse to allow them to express their own individualities and emotions. In modern times, men are obtaining information through the advancement of the Internet, and improving appearance is becoming another competitive advantage at work and it is an area that is receiving most attention when explaining the lifestyle that is becoming a trend in our society.
Accordingly, this study analyzed the hair styles, according to the hair design elements of shape, texture and color, of 150 leading actors
and 240 supporting actors in the total of 390 actors who are in their 20s to 40s who appeared in 150 trendy TV dramas among the TV dramas that were ranked in the top 10 annual program ratings, except for historic dramas, that were produced by the three major broadcasting systems in our country (KBS, MBC, SBS) from 2006 to 2010, and the result of analysis is as follows.
First, in the classification of shape according to point, line & surface, it showed the shape of line the most and surface the least, in the order of line > point > surface.
Second, in the classification of texture according to permanent wave, iron wave & straight hair, it showed the texture of iron wave the most and permanent wave the least, in the order of iron wave > straight hair > permanent wave.
Third, in the classification of color according to dark color as one's hair color, brown color, light brown color and red brown color, it showed the color of dark color the most and light brown color the least, in the order of dark color > brown color > red brown color > light brown color.
Fourth, as for the hair style that male actors prefer the most, it is line shape style with iron wave volume and they prefer natural wave, and it was found that they most prefer the soft texture of shaggy cut with dark color and medium style hair length. In the case of short length hair, they preferred the Mohegan style that emphasized top point with short side hair.
Fifth, as for the characteristics of men's recent hair styles, the two block dandy cut is a trend. The style that creates a masculine and elite image on top of the image of clean, natural and strong men, and the style that significantly changes the image and feel depending on how styling products are used, and the hair style with soft wave and red brown color on top of rough texture that can highlight one's individuality are being highly favored by many young men.
Modern hair designs are changing in their shapes and images in a more drastic and innovative way, and irregular mix and innovative design will be in trend all the more in hair designs that are receiving countless items. In addition, mass media will achieve extensive and multilateral advancement in future along which trend will propose various hairs and form the popularization of hair. Furthermore, it is expected that the hair industry will advance through popular trend.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현대 남성들은 수많은 대중매체에 노출되면서 패션 트렌드에 대한 관심을 가지고 그들이 표현하고자 하는 외모를 개성 있게 표현하는데 의상과 헤어스타일이 중요하다는 것을 인식하게 되면서 의상만으로 표현하기 부족하다는 인식이 많아지면서 나만의 개성을 나타내는 헤어스타일을 찾는 요구가 많아지고 있으며, 최근 남성들의 헤어스타일은 그들의 개성과 감성을 표출할 수 있도록 디자인이 다양화하게 이루어지고 있다. 인터넷의 발달로 남성들이 정보를 얻고, 외모 가꾸기가 또 다른 직장 내 경쟁력이 되고 있고, 우리사회에 불고 있는 라이프스타일을 설명할 때 가장 주목받는 부분이다.
따라서 본 연구에서는 2006년부터 2010년까지 우리나라에서 제작된 방송 3사(KBS, MBC, SBS)의 TV 드라마 중 매년 평균시청률 1위에서 10위중에서 사극을 제외한 트렌디 드라마 150편을 남자 주연배우 150명 조연배우240명 총 390명, 연령대 20～40대 배우들에게 나타난 남자 헤어스타일을 헤어디자인요소인 형태, 질감, 컬러로 분류하여 분석한 결과 다음 같다.
첫째: 형태에서는 점, 선, 면을 분류 하였을때 선> 점> 면 으로 선의 형태가 가장 많이 나타났고 면의 형태가 가장 적게 나타났다.
둘째: 질감에서는 퍼머넌트 웨이브, 아이론 웨이브, 직모로 분류 하였을때 아이론 웨이브> 직모> 퍼머넌트 웨이브 순으로 아이론 웨이브가 가장 많이 나타났으며 퍼머넌트 웨이브가 가장 적게 나타났다.
셋째: 컬러에서는 자신의 모발 색을 어두운색으로 보고 브라운색, 밝은 브라운색, 레드브라운으로 분류 하였을때 어두운색> 브라운색> 레드 브라운색> 밝은 브라운색 순으로 어두운색이 가장 많이 나타났고 밝은 브라운색이 가장 적게 나타났다.
넷째: 남자배우들이 가장 선호하는 헤어스타일은 선의 형태을 지니고 있는 스타일로 아이론 웨이브로 볼륨감이 있으며 자연스러운 웨이브를 선호하며 샤기 커트의 부드러운 질감에 어두운색 컬러를 가지고 있는 머리길이가 미디움 스타일을 가장 선호하는 것으로 나타났으며, 머리길이가 쇼트의 경우는 옆머리는 짧고 탑에 포인트를 강조한 모히간 스타일을 선호하였다.
다섯째: 최근 남성들의 헤어스타일의 특성은 투 블록 댄디 커트가 유행하고 있다. 깔끔함 그리고 내추럴한 강한 남자 이미지에 남자답고 엘리트한 이미지를 만들어주는 스타일, 스타일링 제품을 어떻게 하느냐에 따라 이미지와 느낌이 많이 달라지는 스타일, 개성을 마음껏 살려 줄 수 있는 거친 질감에 부드러운 웨이브 그리고 레드브라운 컬러가 들어간 헤어스타일이 많은 젊은 남성들의 사랑을 받고 있다.
현대의 헤어디자인은 형태와 이미지가 더욱 획기적이고 혁신적으로 변화하고 있으며, 무수한 아이템을 받아들이고 있는 헤어디자인에 있어서 불규칙적인 혼합과 혁신적인 디자인이 더욱 유행할 것이며, 대중매체는 앞으로 폭넓고 다각적인 발전을 이룩해 나갈 것이며 이와 함께 트렌드는 다양한 헤어를 제한하고 헤어의 대중화를 형성하며 더불어 대중적 유행을 통해 헤어산업은 발전할 것을 기대한다.
