The purpose of this study is to find out the effect of high-carbohydrate and high-fat diets on muscle injury during high intensity exercise. The object of study was comprised of 10 healthy male university students attending K-University in D-State. The experiment method was to provide high-carbohydrate diet (HCT: Carbohydrate 70%, Fat 15%, Protein 15%) and high-fat diet (HFT: Carbohydrate 35%, Fat 50%, Protein 20%), and the daily calorie intake was 3000kcal, divided into three meals in both cases. Each diet was randomly performed, and the experiment duration was 7 days. The workout routine consisted of running uphill of slope degree at 2% using treadmill, at 8 km/h for 60 minutes. Blood samples were collected on experiment day 1 (D0: pre-exercise. post-exercise(0), 15, 30minutes after exercise), day 2 (D1: pre-exercise. post-exercise(0), 15, 30minutes after exercise), day 3 (D2: before eating), day 4 (D3: before eating), and day 5 (D4: before eating), and samples were analyzed for lactic acid, creatine kinase, antioxidant enzyme, blood glucose, insulin, cortisol, and cytokine (IL-1β, IL-6). Lactic acid level in blood did not differ between two diets, but creatine kinase level was significantly low in HCT than HFT. Antioxidant activity did not show differences between two diets,
