STEP 부모교육 프로그램이 어머니들의 자아존중감 및 어머니－자녀 간 의사소통에 미치는 영향 = The effect of STEP parent education program on the mother's self-esteem and communication ability between mother and child

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 STEP 부모교육 프로그램이 유아기 자녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니들의 자아존중감과 어머니-자녀 간 의사소통을 향상시키는데 효과가 있는지를 검증하고자 한다. 이를 위해 만 3세의 자녀를 양육하고 있는 어머니 17명을 대상으로 주 1회 100분간 총 8주에 걸쳐 STEP 부모교육 프로그램을 실시하였다. 프로그램 적용결과 첫째, STEP 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 어머니들은 비교집단 어머니들에 비해 자아존중감이 유의미하게 향상되는 효과를 보였다. 둘째, STEP 부모교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단의 어머니들은 비교집단 어머니들에 비해 긍정적 의사소통은 유의미하게 증가하고 부정적 의사소통은 유의미하게 감소한 것으로 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there is any difference in the self-esteem of mothers and the communication level between mothers and children through STEP(Systematic Training for Effective Parenting) parent education program. The subjects of the study were selected 17 mothers who had fully 3-year-old children for the experimental group adopting the program. The program for the experimental group was carried out once a week for 8 weeks(each program's duration was 100 minutes). The results of the study were as follows. First, self-esteem of the mothers in the experimental group who participated in STEP parent education program significantly increased compared with the mothers in the comparative group. Second, positive communication of the mothers in the experimental group who participated in STEP parent education program significantly increased and negative communication significantly decreased compared with the mothers in the comparative group.
