재미 한인 남성의 결혼만족도 영향요인

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 재미 한인 남성들의 인구학적 및 사회?경제적, 이민관련, 심리?문화적 특성이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향요인을 검증하는 것이다. 본 연구의 대상은 연령이 20세 이상 64세 이하이며, 결혼한 지 2년 이상이 되고, 아내와 함께 살고 있으며, 로스앤젤레스 카운티에 거주하는 재미 한인 남성들이다. 자료는 구조화된 설문지를 이용하여 자기기입식 방법으로 수집하였다. 총 310부의 설문지가 배부되었고, 201부의 완성된 설문지가 회수되었다. 설문응답이 불충분한 5부를 제외한 196부의 설문지가 본 연구의 분석에 사용되었다. 위계적 다중회귀분석 결과 우울증과 아내학대가 결혼만족도와 유의미한 연관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 사회복지사와 정신건강실천가들을 위한 실천적 함의가 제시되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine how Korean American men"s marital satisfaction was affected by demographic and socio-economic, immigration-related, and psychological and cultural characteristics. A structured self-administered questionnaire was used, and a total of 310 questionnaires were distributed. Data were collected from 201 Korean immigrant men who were 20 years or older, but younger than 64 years old, having a marital relationship for at least two years, living with a wife, and residing in Los Angeles County. Five questionnaires were excluded from the study because of the unreliable responses, and the final data included 196. The hierarchical multiple regression analyses revealed that depression and occurrence of wife abuse were significantly associated with the participants" marital satisfaction. Implications of the findings for social workers and mental health practitioners are discussed.
