다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

The research is inspired by the popularity of oriental female characters in fighting games and the examination of oriental female stereotypes. The purpose of the research is to summarize the orientalist stereotypes and design patterns of oriental female characters, overcome the inherent stereotypes, develop East Asian female characters, and help game designers to continuously improve fighting games. So from the perspective of Orientalist theory, and through the exploratory analysis of the content, the paper critically analyzes the images and gameplay of oriental female characters appearing in fighting games.
The research details and results are as follows: First, the content analysis method was used to analyze the Eastern female characters (N=153) and Western female characters (N=85) in 33 fighting games, and the variable values were coded and scored. In the second step, the data results are obtained through T-test, chi-square test, and related analysis. Based on these findings, it is expected that in future game design, the conscious bias and racial bias of Orientalism will be discarded, and a holistic and fair standard will be developed to rebalance the stereotype of East Asian women.
