      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine psychological factors that are relevant to explain Instgram addiction and to incorporate all these factors into an integrative model. By applying self concept, self-esteem, self-efficacy, a sense of inferiority, loneliness and mood regulation were identified and effects of those variables on Instagram addiction were examined. According to the results of the multiple regression analysis, mood regruation, a sense of inferiority, negative self-esteem (i.e., self-depreciation) were positively associated with the Instagram addiction and loneliness was negatively associated with the Instagram addiction. Our study findings can be explained by self-affirmation theory that people try to reduce self-threat by getting addicted to the Internet or SNSs in order to restore theiry self-integrity.
