The purpose of this study is to analyze the 7^(th) Korean language curriculum and the revised curriculum of 2007 and to investigate the contents of nonverbal communication on the basis of analyzing current textbook's contents.
First, in chapter 2, the definition of the nonverbal communication, the nature and the types were observed. In chapter 3, on the basis of analyzingthe current textbook, the problems of constitution of the education contents of the nonverbal communication were pointed out and it made a foundation of the alternative when the education contents were constructed in chapter 4.
In chapter 4, after comparison and examination of the 7^(th) Korean language education curriculum and the revised Korean language education curriculum of 2007, the contents of nonverbal communication were extracted and it was applied to the constitution of the education contents. In chapter 5, on the basis of chapter 3 and 4, education contents of nonverbal communication were constructed.
In 7^(th) curriculum, the naming of 'the nonverbal communication' was made and at the same time it became a unit as a factor of education contents. In those reasons, the definition of the concept about the nonverbal communication is vague and insufficiency of contents should be improved. Also according to the developmental stage of learners, education contents should be reformed.
In this paper, those problems were reformed and education contents about the nonverbal communication were constructed with referring to the revised curriculum of 2007.
In main issue, nonverbal communication was classified into paralanguage, body language and situation language and each type's characteristics were discussed.
And after examining the problem of current textbook's rank and appropriateness of the nonverbal communication's contents, current curriculum and revised curriculum of 2007 were compared and discussed.
Finally, on the basis of the critical considerations of the curriculum, the class contents were constructed through presentation of the various materials about paralanguage, body language and situation language. Though as a sub-factor of nonverbal communication every element couldn't be investigated, it is thought to be approached more easily in real situations with presentation of types. This will beeasily understood when learners grasped the concepts. Also, it has a merit that we can recognize the sub-factor of nonverbal communication using various materials. However, it leaves something to be desired that some activities might have an overlap because in the situation of communicating, the sub-factors of the nonverbal communication don't function independently but constitutes the meaning when they were interacted.
There are some limits in that the purpose of this study is not a construction of the unit but a design for class materials. When we design a class, however, it is expected as a significant reference.
