환경관심에의 影響要人分析 : LISREL 適用 AN APPLICATION OF LISREL = PATH ANALITIC STUDY OF THE RELATIONSHIP OF VALUE ORIENTATION AND RESPONSIBILITY AWARENESS TO ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN

Since the 1980s many People have aware of the environmental pollution and environmental problem. This paper was conducted to find determinants of such environmental concern. By literature review I found Socio-demographic factor, Value orientation and responsibility awareness as environmental concern variables.
Soclo-demographic factor are gender, size, of residential community, income and political party identification. Value orientation variable divided as three dimention : egoistic, social-altruistic and biospheric. Also responsibility awareness variable divided as three dimension : ethic causal and obligational. Responsibility awareness variable utitized as intermediate variable in this study.
Evidence from a survey of 218 college students in Korea shows as follws, first, unexpectedly, socio-demographic variables have no statistically significant. Researcher interpreted this result as prevailing environmental concern in korea, Second, environmental concern was motived by ego-centric not by biospheric value orientation. and initiated by ethical rather than obligational reponsibility awareness. Having ego-ceniric value oientation and ethical responsibility awareness simultaneously clues 'good' environmetal policy. In this respects, researcher suggested public policy change,
