Three years have passed since the autonomous police system was introduced. The term of office of the second autonomous police committee has begun, but due to the failure to introduce a completely dualized autonomous police system, the autonomous police committee continues to raise issues related to organization, manpower, personnel rights, and budget. Under the current political situation in the country and the budget situation facing local governments, it is not expected that it will be easy to introduce a completely dual autonomous police system. Despite these difficulties, the autonomous police committee needs to strive for regional security by promoting cooperation with local governments and cooperation in crime prevention activities. Therefore, this study evaluated the efforts of local governments across the country to enact ordinances for cooperation and support with local police and evaluated ordinances in various areas, such as the appropriateness of crime prevention ordinances imported from local governments in Daegu and Gyeongbuk.
