4차 산업혁명과 개혁주의생명신학: 4차 산업혁명 시대 교회교육 어떻게 할 것인가? = The 4th Industrial Revolution and the Reformed Life Theology

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this paper is to examine the way in which Reformed Theology should respond to the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Humanity is entering the Fourth Industrial Revolution, with exponential changes in the way we live, work and relate to one another. The primary issue regarding the Fourth Industrial Revolution goes beyond the economy or industrial structure - it is a matter of world view. Changes in industry have led to changes in the social order and in the structure and style of individual lives. Klauss Schwab, founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, argues that the Fourth Industrial Revolution affects human value systems beyond the economic system of simple manufacturing and service convergence. In the past, value systems influenced the material world, but now the material world boldly declares that it can influence value systems. Humanity has become a matter of the material, not of the mind.
How should the Church respond to these challenges? It is said that the best way to predict the future is to invent it. 500 years ago, the Reformers kicked off a new era by presenting new standards when that of the Middle Ages reached their limits. In the face of an indeterminate future, we must continue the spirit of the Reformation that created a new order distinct from the Middle Ages, and take part in the ongoing creation of a era with a new Biblical Reformist worldview.
We should preach that the Gospel is the answer, as did the Reformers who preached that God was the answer 500 years ago. We must take a three-pronged approach to educating home, church and school, just as the Reformers did. To do this, we must first carefully observe the discourse of the world and fill it with a Biblical worldview. As Paul said in Areopago Square, we must show the world that “this is the unknown future you speak of.” Unfortunately, we have only been saying no to what the world has been offering. We have not been able to show people an alternative - the kind of world we want to create and live in. The church should not only say no to a world in ruin but also be able to clearly show what an alternative could be, as the Reformers did 500 years ago. The church needs to enable the next generation to shape the world towards a Biblical worldview, by teaching them in our homes, schools and churches.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인류는 바야흐로 4차 산업혁명의 시대에 돌입했다. 학자들은 4차 산업혁명은 지금까지 인간이 겪어 보지 못했던 변화의 시대가 될 것이라 본다. 4차 산업혁명은 우리의 생활방식과 업무방식 그리고 다른 사람과 관계를 맺는 방식까지 바꿀 것이라고 이야기한다. 4차 산업혁명과 관련하여 우리가 주목하여야 할 것은 4차 산업혁명에 대한 문제는 단지 경제나 산업구조를 넘어선 세계관의 문제라는 점이다. 클라우스 슈밥(Klaus Schwab)은 4차 산업혁명이 가져올 변화는 단순한 산업구조의 변화를 넘어 사회질서의 변화와 개인의 삶의 구조와 양식의 변화를 동반할 것이라고 주장한다. 과거에는 가치체계가 물질세계에 영향을 주었는데 이제는 물질세계가 가치체계에 영향을 줄 수 있다고 대담하게 선언해 버린것이다. 인간성이 정신의 문제가 아니라 물질의 문제가 되어 버렸다. 이러한 시대적 도전 앞에서 교회는 어떻게 해야 할까? 19세기 초 영국에서 일어난‘러다이트 운동(Luddite Movement)’과 같이 시대의 흐름에 대적하는 것으로 문제가 해결될까? 오히려 그러한 세상을 하나님의 말씀으로 변혁하는 것이 교회의 사명일 것이다. 이렇게 하기 위해서는 종교개혁가들과 같이 가정과 교회 그리고 학교가 연결된 교육생태계를 조성하여야 한다. 교회는 신앙교육의 플랫폼이 되어야 한다. 가정과 학교에서 다음 세대가 성경적 세계관을 가지고 세상을 변화시키는 삶을 살 수 있도록 도와야 한다. 가정과 학교 교회 이 셋이 함께 움직여야 한다. 그래야 다음 세대가 온전하게 세워질 수 있다. 지금부터 500년 전에 종교개혁가들은 중세가 그 한계에 도달했을 때 새로운 표준을 만들어 새 시대를 열었다. 중세와 구별된 새로운 질서를 만들었던 종교개혁 정신을 이어받아 아직 확정되지 않은 미래를 성경에 기초한 개혁주의적 인생관과 세계관을 토대로 만들어 가야 한다.
