The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of psycho-behavioral adjustment depending on abuse traits and out-of-home care conditions in abused children who had been returning to their home after out-of-home care. Another main purpose was to present the some of considerations in out-of-home care process and returning home process in abused children.
The results indicated that the quality of abuse didn't have an influence on psycho-behavioral adjustment in abused children. But, This is desirable to interpret that the children that experienced serious abuse were showed psycho-behavioral problems in the similar level irrespective of abuse traits. Also, The change of the shelter placement one of out-of-home care environments was significant related to depression, anxiety and aggression.
The findings imply that we should carefully decide on shelter placement staying right after that abused children removed from their families and should not often move on another placement. In other words, this means that relating continually to a caretaker is mostly significant to abused children since they are likely to feel psychological anxiety because of the change of shelter placement.
