[논문]모차르트 음악에 나타나는 관용적 표현 양식 : 현악사중주 K. 387의 토픽 분석 = Conventional Styles of Expression in Mozart's String Quartet K. 387

국문 초록 (Abstract)

고전주의 작곡가들은 그들의 작품에서 나타내고자 하는 다양한 감정의 표현을 위하여 당시의 관용적인 음악어법을 사용하였으며, 이것은 수사학에서 빌려온 용어로 '토픽'이라 한다. 토픽에는 여러 춤 양식이나 군대 행진, 노래 양식, 질풍노도, 엄격 양식 등과 같은 성격 양식들이 속하며 18세기 작곡가들은 이러한 양식을 극장음악에서와 마찬가지로 실내음악에서도 다양하게 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 모차르트의 현악사중주 K. 387에 나타나는 감정의 여러 음악적 표현과 전개 방법을 살펴보아 표제음악이 아닌 음악에서도 작곡가가 전달하고자 했던 내용이 얼마나 직접적이고 풍부했는지를 가늠해 보았다. 이 작품에서 나타나는 토픽과 분위기의 다양한 대조와 병렬은 이 곡이 감정 표현에 있어서 끊임없는 변화를 만들어 나가고 있는 것을 보여준다. 이러한 토픽 분석은 작곡가의 표현적 성향을 이해하는 데 도움을 주어 고전주의 음악을 18세기 청중과 같이 감상하고 연주하는 계기를 만들어 줄 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Composers of the Classic period used conventional musical languages, so called topics, for expression of diverse feelings in their works. The topics including a variety of dances and characteristic styles as march, singing style, brilliant style, "Sturm und Drang," learned style, and ombra style etc. were remarkably diversely manipulated by Classic composers in chamber music as well as in theatrical music.<br/>
The purpose of the paper is to discern Mozart's manipulation of topics to understand the expressive intent of music in his string quartet K. 387. The frequent contrast or juxtaposition of topics and moods in his music creates an ever-moving series of expressions. The analysis helps to recognize the composer's expressive qualities and provides a clue how to listen and perform Classic music with the ears of 18th-century auditors.
