『新少年』 창간호 서지적 분석과 ‘새소년’ 의미 고찰 = A Bibliographical analysis of the First Issue of Sinsonyeon and a Study on the Meaning of the New Boy

The purpose of this study is to analyze the first issue of Shinsonyeon.
Recently, Hyeondammungo opened images for the first issue of Shinsonyeon.
Since Sinsonyeon is about to celebrate its 100th anniversary, the meaning is even greater.
The unconfirmed status of the first issue of Sinsonyeon was a limitation of this media study, but with the recent reading, it will be possible to supplement the deficiencies of the research on Sinsonyeon.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to read and analyze the entire first issue, including the editorial system and included works, as well as the purpose and purpose of publication of Shinsonyeon and the composition of the initial writing team.
It was found that the goal of the publication of Shinsonyeon w as the orientation toward a new world, and the intention to open up a new world to the boys at the time was known. These contents were shown in a compact way in the labeling and discourse. In particular, the boy running the marathon in the cover painting symbolically revealed modern consciousness.
Most of the early writers published enlightening discourses in the magazine, claiming to be teachers to the boys. In the end, he made it clear that those who would take charge of the future of his country, which was in danger of losing its sovereignty, were the New boys.
In the first issue of Shinsonyeon, stories such as adventure stories, wisdom stories, and traditional stories are included. Narrative works had a high proportion of translations. This phenomenon can be seen as a transitional phenomenon in the formative period of narrative literature.
Reading the first issue of Shinsonyeon will be an opportunity to supplement the inadequacies of Shinsonyeon research.
