기업의 사회적 책임 표준화작업의 의미와 경향 = The meaning and trends of CSR standardization

국문 초록 (Abstract)

  지난 10여년에 걸친 세계화의 진전은 세계적인 기업들에게 무역, 투자, 서비스 그리고 생산에 이르기까지 예기치 못한 기회들을 제공했다. 결국 기업들은 경제와 사회와의 분리를 더 이상 생각할 수 없게 되었다. 사회적 책임에 대한 도전은 기업들에게 압력으로 작용하기보다는 기업의 가치와 투명성을 높이는데 기여하게 됨을 깨닫게 되었다. 사회의 다양성과 투명성의 도전은 국제적인 기업활동에 성공적인 핵심내용이 되고 있다. 이제 많은 기업의 지도자들은 기업의 사회적 책임이 장기적 측면에서 사회의 지속가능성과 기업의 이윤을 동시에 이룩할 수 있음을 깨닫기 시작했다. 그들은 기업활동에 있어서 원칙적인 측면에서뿐 아니라 실제적인 측면에서 도 사회적 책임을 다하고 있다는 것을 보여줘야 한다. 그런 의미에서 기업의 사회적 책임에 대한 지표작업은 사회적 책임의 표준화를 위하여 필요한 작업이라 할 수 있다. 많은 국제조직들은 기업들에 적합한 사회적 책임의 표준화 작업을 활발히 전개하고 있다. 본 글에서는 기업 사회적 책임의 표준화 작업의 경향과 의미를 살펴보고자 한다. 이제 기업의 사회적 책임을 시작한 한국의 기업들에게 표준화 작업의 경향을 이해한다는 것은 의미 있는 일이라 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

  The process of globalization over the past decade has created unprecedented opportunities for global companies in trade, investment, services, and production. As a result, business cannot divorce itself from its economic and social context. Furthermore, the challenge for those engaged in promoting corporate social responsibility is not just to make a compelling business case, as important as that is, but to elevate business values and integrity. It is to recognize that responding to the challenges of diversity and transparency is at the heart of successful internationalization of business. Many business leaders began to recognize that CSR(corporate social responsibility)will contribute to its long term sustainability and profitability. They must demonstrate a commitment to CSR of in all sectors of their business activity, not only in principle, but also in practice. Then appropriate index of CSR will be a necessary of any CSR standardization. Many international organizations are actively developing method of identifying companies with strong CSR standardizations. In this article, It will be surveyed for the trends of CSR standardizations and reviewed the meaning of the works. Also the It is a meaningful to understand the trends of CSR standardization for Korea companies which is beginning the activity of CSR.
