여성결혼이민자의 인터넷 이용과 한국사회 적응 = 시민모임 참여와 생활만족도를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 여성결혼이민자의 인터넷 이용이 한국사회 적응에 미치는 영향을 다룬다. 인터넷 변인을 이용 여부와 이용 형태(정보추구, 의사소통, 여가활동, 상거래)로 구분해 지역모임 및 시민단체 참여와 한국생활 만족도에 미치는 영향을 분석했다. 2009년 전국다문화가족실태조사 자료를 이용해 이항 로지스틱과 다중 회귀분석을 실시했다. 분석결과, 인터넷 이용은 지역모임과 시민단체 참여에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤지만, 생활만족도에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했다. 또한, 인터넷 효과는 이용 형태에 따라서도 상이하게 나타났다. 특히, ‘의사소통용’ 이용은 예상과 달리, 지역모임과 시민단체 참여에 유의한 영향을 미치지 못했으며, 생활만족도에는 부적인 영향을 나타냈다. ‘정보추구용’ 이용은 인터넷 이용 형태 중에서 유일하게 시민단체 참여에 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. ‘정보추구’ 이용 변인이 인터넷의 일반 효과를 드러냈다면, ‘의사소통’ 이용 변인은 여성결혼이민자라는 연구대상의 특수성을 반영하는 효과를 나타냈다. 본 연구는 인터넷 효과가 연구대상에 따라서도 상이한 측면을 보여준 점에서 의의가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines how married immigrant women"s internet use affects their participation in civic gatherings and life satisfaction in Korea. Binary logistic regression and multiple-regression analyses were conducted using data from Nationwide Multicultural Family Survey in 2009. The major findings are as follows. First, internet use affects participation in civic gatherings but does not have an influence on life satisfaction. Second, the "internet effect" varies depending on the types of internet use. Interestingly, the "communicative" use has no significant influence on participation in civic gatherings but has a negative influence on life satisfaction. The "informational" use has a positive influence on participation in civic gatherings. While the "informational" use shows a general effect of internet use, the "communicative" use demonstrates a special effect. This study shows that the effect of internet use varies depending on who are being studied.
