자폐성 장애아동에 대한 가족중심 중재에 관한 고찰 = A Study on Family-Centered Interventions for Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders

This study analyzed 15 researches on family-centered interventions for children with autism spectrum disorders in domestic journals to investigate how family-centered interventions were provided for children with autism spectrum disorders. The analysis results of the general characteristics of those papers and their major content on family-centered interventions show that the subjects of family-centered interventions were usually young children with autism spectrum disorders and that the objectives of such interventions were to improvement of social skills and reduction of problematic behaviors. As for methodology, they usually employed a single-subject design or AB design with a few group experiment studies and qualitative studies. Mostly parents participated in such interventions as family mediators with only a few researches including siblings as participants. The venue of intervention was home in most cases. The papers analyzed in the study employed play-focused strategies a lot. Family-centered interventions for children with autism spectrum disorders should utilize evidence-based practice as an intervention strategy and allow for active family participation from the planning to the evaluation stage with a focus on the strengths of family.
