인문,사회과학편 : 불교 교육사상에 담긴 수행의 체육학적 의의 = The physical educational meaning of sscetic practices included in the educational thought of Buddhism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Buddhism is a representative religion of the oriental people, which has deeply been influencing on their life and cultures through the years. It has same meaning that to understand the dogma of Buddhism is to realize the way of life and philosophy of oriental people in some ways. Therefore, it is very valuable work to realize the educational thought of Buddhism and the essential meaning of ascetic practices in Buddhism for realizing oriental people's life and culture. In the view of physical education, especially, it can be said that Buddhism and physical education do not much differ from each other in their aims for human education. Both of them aim whole-person or well balanced-person through rational education(知) and physical activity(行) which are essential elements for a gentleman renowned for his virtue. This means indirectly relative importance and the value of physical education in contemporary society. Also, it is a important reason that why physical education should be emphasized in contemporary society for human education.
