다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper reconstructs the diachronic development of the Russian phraseological expressions with the meaning of ‘to be of one mind’. I argue that {byti za odinъ muzь} and {byti za odinъ celovekъ} are different in the original composition despite their shared meaning, claiming that muzь and celovekъ are not coterminous in the range of reference, and that za in the former case is a reflex of the directional preposition while it is a predicator in the version with celovekъ. Then the paper advances a hypothesis on how the two structurally distinct expressions came to be synonymous. It argues that formal similarity in prepositional phrase between marriage-related expressions like {posagati za odinъ muzь} and {byti za odinъ celovekъ} serves a basis for drawing analogy in gear ultimately to generate {byti za odinъ muzь}. The proposed diachronic scenario has a significant theoretical implication for the study of phraseology. It is well established that lexical variants of phraseological expression are created by replacing one lexical item with another on the basis of synonymy. However, the present case demonstrates that lexical variants can also be made on the basis of similarity in form. Interestingly enough, this proposal amounts to approximating the creation of lexical variants to lexical borrowing of foreign words, given that the structures are frequently opaque to the speakers of the borrowing language, when lexical items are borrowed.
