해월의 삼경사상에 나타난 공공철학의 정신 = A Study on the Public-Common Philosophical Thought in Haewol’s Three Worship Thought

The purpose of this thesis is to analyse Eastern Learning, specially on Haewol(Choi, Si-hyeong, 1827-1898)’s Three Worship thought in the view of the Public common philosophical thought. Haewol’s Three Worship thought has given a new understanding of the public world in the between the private and the public.
Firstly, The conviviality thought of Haewol’s Three Worship thought is going to pull down wall in spirit between the private affairs and public value. The conviviality becomes groundwork between public common personality and life community as public- common spirit.
Secondly, Haewol’s Three Worship thought has been built from three composites tradition, has breeded in woman respect thought and child respect thought. Woman respect thought take away accessories or that neglect and there is the conviviality thought of woman respect. Modern conviviality of respect for child and women together thought can assume a new opportunity that we live together as public common personality.
Thirdly, the Public common moralism of Haewol’s Three Worship thought as keeping mind justly by sincerity together respect and belief in the public common personality. It is possible to attain public common conviviality by way of breeding God- Realization.
Fourthly, the idea of heaven and earth parents of Haewol’s Three Worship thought emphasize the stimulating spirit of public- common gathering communication. It represents the mind of sympathy and divine response towards the pain of nature by having pain in chest seeing a child to pass rapidly wearing wooden clogs.
Fifthly, Haewol’s Three Worship thought insists the reverence of nature that is the way to ecosystems such as heaven, man and things. The love for all things in the universe can be much broadened in the context of Haewol. Haewol’s vitalism can not be limited to vital things, but it can be also extended to soil, water and lifeless matters

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 해월의 삼경사상에 나타난 공공철학의 정신을 고찰한 글이다. 공공철학의 정신은 공적 가치를 살려 사회에 책임지는 공공성(公共性)의 정신, 공과 사를 이어주고 살리는 공사공매(共媒性)의 정신, 공공세계를 열어 구성원이 더불어 행복한 공복(共福)의 정신으로 생명공동체를 지향한다. 동학의 2대 교조, 해월의 삼경사상은 경천, 경인, 경물을 통하여 서로를 이어주고 매개하는 가운데 생명공동체의 공공행복을 매개하고 살리는 정신을 표방하고 있다.
해월의 삼경사상은 한국전통의 천지인삼재(天地人三才)사상과 시천주사상을 범재신적으로 발전시켜 인간이 천지와 더불어 행복한 양천주(養天主)사상으로 정립하였다. ‘양천주’는 내 안에 모신 한울님을 부모와 같이 받들고 봉양하는 양식이다. 전통적인 천지인삼재사상에서 나아가서 한울을 함양(涵養)할 줄 아는 사람으로서 인격형성과시천주 사상을 현실화용 차원으로 횡단 매개하였다. 해월은 경천, 경인, 경물의 상관적 공경사상으로 구체화시켰다. 이는 곧 천지인삼재 사이를 공공회통(公共會通)하면서 양천의 생명가치를 확대 재생산하여 더불어 향유하는 공공행복을 보여주고 있기에 공공철학의 공공적 사회책임과 상관적 연동관계를 이루고 있다고 할 것이다.
