메타버스 드라마 특징 비교 연구 ― 제페토와 이프랜드를 중심으로 = A Comparative of Metaverse Drama Features : Focusing on Zepeto and ifland

This study attempted to compare and analyze the characteristics of each metaverse drama by examining the production environment and directing techniques of the Zepeto drama and ifland drama, the leaders of ‘metaverse dramas’. In the case of Zepeto and ifland, unlike other metaverses, they created relatively high-quality ‘Metaverse Drama’ video literary content. The reason this was possible is because Zepeto and ifland provide a sufficient technical environment to plan, film, and direct the drama.
This paper first looked at the basic service environments of Zepeto and ifland, and how this technical environment supported the production of the metaverse drama. Furthermore, after analyzing the directing technique characteristics of the Zepeto drama and ifland drama, we attempted to compare and analyze their characteristic differences. In particular, this study found that the difference in the stable distribution of ‘digital currency’ within the two metaverses served as the most important factor in determining the formation of a ‘sustainable’ ecosystem in the production of metaverse dramas.
In conclusion, this study was able to identify the differences in directing techniques between the Zepeto drama and ifland drama, and inductively reveal that these characteristics are the result of the technical environment provided by each metaverse.
