완벽주의와 자의식이 남녀 대학생의 섭식장애행동에 미치는 영향 = The Effects of Perfectionism and Self-consciousness of male and female college students on Eating Disorder Behavior

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to find the relationships between perfectionism and self-consciousness on eating disorder behavior of male and female college students and it was to find relative influence when each sub-variableness was controlled of perfectionism and self-consciousness. There were 374 male and female college students participated in this study. The significant results were revealed as follows. : (1) As male students made higher levels of maladaptive-perfectionism, they damaged more eating behavior when effects of other sub-dimension of perfectionism were controlled in the relationships between the sub-dimension of perfectionism and eating disorder behavior. (2) As male students made higher levels of social anxiety, they damaged more eating behavior and as female students made higher levels of public self-consciousness, they damaged more eating behavior when effects of other sub-dimension of self-consciousness were controlled in the relationships between the sub-dimension of self-consciousness and eating disorder behavior. (3) We could find that independent effect of relation-variableness about eating disorder behavior. Namely, when effects of other variables were controlled, we could find that maladaptive-perfectionism had impact on eating disorder behavior in male students, public self-consciousness and maladaptive-perfectionism had impact on eating disorder behavior in female students. The implications and limitations of these findings were suggested.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 남녀 대학생들을 대상으로 하여 완벽주의 및 자의식과 섭식장애행동과의 관련성을 살펴보고, 섭식장애행동에 대한 완벽주의와 자의식의 상대적 영향력을 살펴보았다. 남녀 대학생 374명을 대상으로 연구를 실시한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 완벽주의 하위차원과 섭식장애행동과의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 완벽주의 하위차원의 영향력이 각각 통제되었을 때 남학생은 부적응적 완벽주의 성향이 강할수록 섭식행동의 손상이 커졌음을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 자의식 하위차원과 섭식장애행동과의 관계를 살펴본 결과, 자의식 하위차원의 영향력이 각각 통제되었을 때 남학생은 사회적 불안이 높을수록, 여학생은 공적 자의식이 높을수록 섭식행동의 손상이 커짐을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 섭식장애행동에 대한 적응적 완벽주의, 부적응적 완벽주의, 자의식의 독립적 효과를 알아본 결과, 남학생은 부적응적 완벽주의 성향이 섭식장애 행동에 영향을 미쳤으며, 여학생은 공적 자의식과 부적응적 완벽주의 성향이 섭식장애행동에 영향을 미쳤음을 발견할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과에 대한 논의와 함께 시사점과 제한점을 제시하였다.
