This study suggests that Jeju tourism may need to seriously consider destination tourism, instead of touring tourism. To support this argument, literature review was provided and empirical analyses were performed. The analyses included factor analyses, correlation analyses, and QFD with fuzzy AHP. According to the empirical analyses, it was suggested that tourists in Jeju preferred destination tourism rather than touring tourism. They intend to meet people and want to participate in various activities. One of the possible alternatives to capture the destination market could be providing opportunities to leisurely stroll about cultural shopping center with greater open spaces and various programs. Further studies could be followed to explore various opportunities of destination tourism in Jeju.
