단도박자들의 도박중독행위 재발경험에 대한 질적 내용분석 연구 = A Qualitative Content Analysis Study of Relapse Experiences of People with Gambling Abstinence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 1년 이상 단도박을 유지하였으나 다시 도박을 개시한 도박중독자들의 경험에서 단도박 의지와 실천을 저해하는 요인을 규명하고, 도박노출 위험상황을 어떻게 다루고 조절했으며, 그 결과는 어떠한가를 살펴보기 위한 것이다. 연구에는 16명의 도박중독 재발경험자들이 참여했고 심층면담을 통하여 자료를 수집했다. 수집된 자료는 Krippendorff(2003)가 제시한 내용분석 절차와 방법에 따라 분석했다. 연구결과는 4가지 차원으로 기술되었다. 사회적 차원의 범주는 사회적 고립과 과잉대응이었고, 가족 차원의 범주는 회피성, 갈등, 거리감 생김, 방관, 가면이었으며, 신체적 차원의 범주는 신체화 증상이었고, 심리정서적 차원의 범주는 혼란, 고립, 무력감, 자기연민, 원한과 분노, 나태 등이었다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같이 제언하였다. 첫째, 도박중독자들이 현실인식을 강화할 수 있는 실천프로그램을 구성하는 것이 필요하고, 둘째, 알아차림의 능력을 강화하고, 셋째, 일상에서의 건강을 회복할 수 있는 프로그램을 구성하는 것이 필요하다는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this study is twofold: First, to identify the factors that impede the gambling abstinence attempted by gamblers who experience gambling relapses; and second, to investigate how to manage and control their gambling exposure risk situations. For this purpose, the researchers conducted in-depth interviews of 16 people who had experienced gambling relapse. The data were analyzed according to Krippendorff’s content analysis(2003). The results were as follows: the concepts of social dimension included “social isolation” and “excessive confrontation”; the ones of the family dimension included “avoidance”, “conflict”, “sense of distance”, “onlooking”, and “false masks”; the physical dimension included “somatization symptoms”; and those of the psychological and emotional dimension included “embroilment”, “helplessness”, “self-pity”, “resentment and anger”, indolence“etc. Based on these results, the researchers suggested that society creates a practical program that can influence the perception that gamblers have of reality, strengthen the capacity of their awareness, and help them recover their health in daily life.
