고엽제 환자의 우울에 관한 실증적인 연구: SGDS 우울척도를 중심으로 = A Corroborative Study on the Depression of Agent Orange Patients -SGDS scale Focus on-

The investigation was design to the planning of medical policy and level check of mental health of Agent orange patients and This document was performed analysis of depression degree about general character and Military experience by SGDS scale. The purpose ofthe research is to offer the basic data to the medical policy which concern mental health of agent orange patient. The major result of the research were as follow; First, The significantly differents analysis of depression of agent orange patients by general character was shown significantly higher(P<0.01,P<0.001), in the concrete, the category of a single generation family, a middle school graduate, un-employee status, un-marriage or divorce status, residence at their un -own house, low income status. Second, The significantly differents analysis of depression of agent orange patients by the military service experience were reported in significantly differents. for example, the category of a partiaipcition army. a region, exposure experience, security equipment. sprinkling. experience Third, The support policy of medical, welfare of agent orange patients were promotion of income, a development of job program and an expansion of psychiatric department of veterans hospitals (mental therapy center, psychological counseling center, psychological examination)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고엽제 환자의 우울에 대한 수준 측정과 의료지원 정책을 수립하기 위해 수행되었다. 그리고 본 자료는 일반적인 특성과 군복무 경험과 관련한 특성을 노인형 우울척도를 이용해 분석하였고 본 연구의 궁극적 목적은 고엽제 환자들의 정신건강 증진과 삶의 질 향상을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하기 위해 연구되었다. 구체적인 내용을 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고엽제 환자의 우울에 대한 일반적 인구학적 특성별 통계적 유의성을 분석해 보면 세대유무별 단신세대가 학력은 중졸이하가 직업은 무직이 결혼상태는 미혼 또는 이혼이 주거형태는 무주택자가 수입은 저소득자에게서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내었다. 둘째, 군 복무 경험과 관련하여 특성별 통계적 유의성을 분석해 보면 참전부대, 지역, 폭로경험, 보호장비 착용유무, 살포 경험에 따라 유의한 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 고엽제 환자의 의료 복지 지원 정책을 제시하면 소득이 대부분 매우 낮게 조사되었는데 이에 대한 증대 방안으로 국가기술자격 취득과 연계한 직업 프로그램의 개발이 필요하고 고엽제 환자들의 정신 건강을 증진시키기 위해 보훈병원내 정신과를 심리치료센터, 심리상담센터, 심리검사 센터로 확대 운영하는 방안이 필요하다.
