국문 초록 (Abstract)

프랑스 현대 연극을 대표하는 희곡작가 미셸 비나베르가 1956년에 쓴<한국 사람들>은 한국전쟁에 관한, 유럽의 희곡작가가 쓴 최초의, 유일한 희곡이면서, 한국문화, 전쟁을 겪고 있는 한국 사람들에 대한 아름다움과 인간의 삶에 대한 숭고함을 드러내는 희곡이다. 전쟁은 일상을 초월하는 망가진 현실을 뜻한다. <한국 사람들>의 숭고함은 전쟁을 토대로 한 대립적 구조에서 생성된다. 이 작품 속, 인물들은 고향을 떠나 낯선 나라에서 전쟁을 치르는 이들과 고향을 잃은 사람들인데, 공통적으로 삶의 위기에 처한다. 생에 대한 아름다움의 회복은 이들로 하여금 정서적공동체를 이루게 하고, 그 숭고함은 위기 속에서 사랑이나 연민 그리고 인간의 삶에 대한 가치를 깨닫게 한다. 이 연구는 작품 속 인물들과 언어 속에 나타난 공간과 장소, 전쟁의 추상성, 삶의 구체성, 죽음의 철학 등에 관한 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to investigate the "Les Coreens" of Michel Vinaver in order to analyze the abstractions and representation of culture and war in the play. This piece is Michel Vinaver`s first play. In the play, there are five French and American soldiers from the United States who are patrolling the surrounding bush. They have gone astray in the bush. During this act of war in search of a prisoner, they continue their exhausting march in an indecipherable landscape. And then they meet the Koreans by chance in the village. This piece unveils the realities in a different way compared to other pieces of the war. Because one sees that the soldiers of the patrol argue, trying to apply the theory to their uncertain march, dreaming of a real war in a real plain. In this war, everything is destroyed, devastated and everyone is hungry. Michel Vinaver tells not only the pains of the war but also the Koreans who live their war like a dream, who do not even recognize that everything seems defeated. They are left in a place where nothing is left but a few sounds, a few gestures, and debris. This play focuses on the lives revived through the war : stories between a soldier who was left for dead during the night battle, a Korean woman and also an eight-year-old girl who found and brought the soldier back to the village. Through this meeting, this piece shows the distance between soldiers and Koreans who have psychologically positive roles and also the truth of the opposition on the side of the soldiers. As Roland Barthes said in 1956 for the first time on this subject, this unfolding is not a positivity of some and a negativity of others, but the opposition between an order of value and an order of the facts of existence. This is the reason why it is absurd to assimilate this play to the Brechtian theater, so it is legitimate to contrast these two theaters between war and everyday life. The main analysis for this piece is to see a number of impasse throughout this piece and to describe human relationships as both political and substantial relationships of existence. At the end of this play, we see on the stage a certain concentration of men around food as substance. It is a concrete aspect of life. In conclusion, "Les Coreens" is not a piece of war but a piece of reconciliation on the realism of war and poetry of life.
