Introduction describes the background of researches such as increasing demand for data utilization and domestic data quality management trends. In this background, the necessity of introducing the data quality management system of the Korean Bio-bank and the purpose of the research are presented, and then the research directions and procedures are explained.
Data Quality Management Overview outlines the main concepts and major management areas of data quality management and data standardization. In addition, we show the direction of desirable data quality management and loss and risk due to failure of data quality management through successful case and failure cases of data quality management at home and abroad.
Analysis of Data Quality Management, describes the analysis results of the data quality and data model of the Korean Bio-bank Information Management System(BIMS) that currently being operated. Based on the data quality assessment results of Datastreams Corp. and Wiseitech Co. Ltd we draw out major problems and suggest ways to improve them. In addition, it analyzes and ERD(Entity-Reationship Diagram) of BIMS and draws out problems, suggests improved ERD and major management items for correct data model design, and suggests ways to improve them.
Data Quality Management Implementation Roadmap consists of data quality management system and strategies, and implementation roadmap for data quality management. First, the data quality management system and strategy establishment will explain the overall contents such as explanation and procedure of data quality management system and data standard management system and information system related to each management system. It also introduces the data quality certification of the Korea Data Agency, which is the concrete result of establishing the data quality management system, and explains the content of each step. Next, the implementation roadmap for the data quality management step-by-step outlines the outline and direction of data quality management. In addition, the 5-year data quality management step-by-step roadmap for establishing the data quality management system of the BIMS will be presented, and the implementation tasks to be implemented in each year will be explained and the expected effects will be visualized.
Conclusions and Future Research Tasks summarize the results of the research and describe future research tasks and tasks for establishment and operation of data quality management system, and suggest directions for future improvement.
