지역문화 활용의 환경 디자인교육 학습 콘텐츠 연구 = A Study on Learning Contents for Environmental Design Education Using Local Culture

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Considering the current tendency of concerning values of local culture, this study aims to develop learning contents for environmental design education using local culture and improve the utilization of it in education field. Since the study subjects are related to separate academic disciplines such as local culture, education and environmental design, interdisciplinary method was used in this study. Environmental design is significant as it connects past, present and future using the sentiment, history, literature, arts, economy, natural environment and climate of a certain region. Upon the analysis of past Education Curriculums, it was noted that the importance of culture in design education has been emphasized since the introduction of 6th Education Curriculum. Although the specific directions or detailed action plans of regional cultural resource policies have not been fully suggested by preceding research on local culture yet, it is noted that the importance of design knowledge in creation of cultural diversity is stressed and historical figures in the region are highlighted as cultural resources to represent its local identity. Considering these implications, four-phase learning contents (exploration and preparation, conception and framing, expression and viewing and finishing) that can be applied to education filed were constructed. The learning contents are designed to be carried out by cooperative learning not only to grow design thinking but also to shape humanity while inducing positive changes in the learners` attitudes toward local culture and environmental design. Also, the learners are encouraged to examine whether their interests and understanding of local culture have been promoted through writing and presenting their own reviews afterwards. It is expected that in the future, various studies on local culture and design will be made based on this study.
