서비스산업 특성 분석을 통한 유형화에 관한 연구 : 산업연관분석을 중심으로 = A Study on Classification of Service Industries Based on Input-Output Analysis

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라의 주력 산업인 제조업의 성장잠재력 둔화로 서비스산업이 새로운 성장동력으로 부상하고 있다. 주요 선진국의 서비스 R&D 지원 전략을 보면 국가의 경제 및 산업 특성을 고려하여 특성화된 서비스산업 육성 전략을 추진하고 있는 반면, 우리나라는 서비스 R&D 활성화를 위한 정부 투자 계획이 지속적으로 발표되고 있으나 구체적인 실천 전략이나 방향이 미흡한 것이 현 실정이다. 본 연구에 서는 서비스분야의 선진화를 위한 R&D 투자방향을 제언하기 위하여 산업연관분석, 기업활동현황분석 및 취업구조분석 등을 통하여 우리나라 서비스산업의 현황을 파악하고 특성에 따라 유형화하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 결론적으로 우리나라 전체 서비스업을 크게 제조업 의존형 서비스, 설비기반형 서비스 및 인적자원 지식의존형 서비스로 유형화하였으며 이를 토대로 서비스산업의 선진화를 위한 육성 전략 및 R&D 지원전략에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다.

Most of the countries including Korea are in the process of becoming service economies. Because in Korea the competitiveness of the manufacturing industry has more dulled nowadays, the importance of the service sector is continuously increasing. But service R&D strategy in Korea is not quite satisfied in order to invigorate the service industry, even though the government announced several investment strategies for vitalizing the service industry. In this study, the strategic approach to guide the investment in service R&D is provided by the classification and characteristics of service based on input-output analysis, business activity analysis and employment to GDP ratio. It is suggested that the service can be classified into three types: the manufacturing-based service, facility-based service and human knowledge-based service. Based on the classification, the strategies for investing the national R&D budget and fostering the service industry are proposed.
