13~14세기 歸化人의 유형과 고려로 이주

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Chinese immigration to the korean peninsula in the Koryo period was generally described as Touxia or Xianghua in the original traditional documents, but this was translated as Guihua in recent usage.
According to this study, the names of these immigrants were altered largely through various processes. Some immigrants acquired bestowed surnames, while others kept their original surnames while changing their first names only after arriving in Koryo. Furthermore, the immigrant"s bestowed places of origin were decided for diverse reasons, and were related to certain regions to satisfy social, political, economic and geographical justifications. Some places of origin were associated with places like Bonglu and Caici, where the immigrant was granted the right to collect taxes and grain to support himself. In some cases, the place where the wife of an immigrant came from was bestowed as the place of origin.
Among the immigrants from the time of Koryo to the early period of Joseon. The origins and past family history of 14 families, along with their authentic original ancestral homes were able to be identified.
