Purpose – This study examines how information quality and information type utilization affect participation performance and willingness to pay among mobility show exhibitors.
Design, data, and methodology – A survey was conducted with 129 companies that participated in a mobility show. The research model was tested using structural equation modeling (SEM) with SPSS 26.0 and AMOS software. The model analyzed the relationships between information quality (accuracy, reliability, currency, accessibility, usefulness), information type utilization (technical information, market information, competitor information), participation performance, and willingness to pay.
Results – Information quality significantly influences information type utilization, with accessibility and usefulness being key dimensions. Information type utilization positively affects participation performance and willingness to pay, while partially mediating the relationship between information quality and performance. Technical and competitor information were particularly important for enhancing outcomes.
Conclusions – Exhibition organizers should enhance information accessibility and usefulness while providing specialized technical and competitor information services tailored to company characteristics to improve performance and increase willingness to pay.
