한국형 도시혁신지구의 구성요소 및 지역특성 분석 연구 = Studying Essential Assets and Startup Communities of Korean Urban Innovation Districts

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify the components and regional characteristics necessary for the Korean urban innovation district that affect the increase in employment in the 4th industry. As a research analysis technique, a spatial econometics model using basic statistics data from 2010 to 2021 and socioeconomic statistics data related to research topics was applied. The summary of the research results is as follows. First, employment in Korea's 4th industry is concentrated in the metropolitan area and large cities. Second, regional characteristics that have a positive impact on the employment of the 4th industry include the construction of new housing, the increase in the number of employees in the information industry and the knowledge-based industry, venture companies, large-scale industrial clusters, knowledge industry centers, universities, general hospitals, parks, and high-speed rail stations. On the other hand, the increase in the elderly population was found to have a negative relationship. Third, large-scale industrial clusters located in the region are factors that significantly affect the employment of the 4th industry. Fourth, urban innovation districts need to be connected with universities and hospitals. Research results can be used to plan and establish employment policies for the 4th industrial urban innovation district in Korea.
